Product Description
ZG100 GPS Antenna with Compass (000-11048-002)
Take your marine navigation to the next level with the B&G ZG100 GPS Antenna (00011048002) — a high-performance unit combining precision positioning with onboard heading, heel, and trim sensing. Designed especially for sailboats and performance vessels, this antenna delivers real-time data for chartplotters, instrument systems, and NMEA-2000® networks.
The B&G ZG100 is a compact, rugged GPS antenna with a built-in electronic compass and inertial sensors. Its 10 Hz update rate ensures smooth, accurate tracking even during high-speed maneuvers or under acceleration. Because heading is integrated, chart overlays, radar stabilization, and autopilot direction (where supported) benefit from real-time heading data without needing a separate compass unit. Optimized signal acquisition and support for WAAS, EGNOS, MSAS (and more) help maintain stable fixes in challenging conditions.
Key Features & Capabilities
- 10 Hz position update rate for rapid, smooth fixes during maneuvers
- Integrated electronic compass provides heading data for chart stabilization, “Head-Up” mode, and radar overlays
- Heel & trim sensor for sailing load compensation and advanced routing
- Sail-specific COG/SOG filtering for optimized performance under sail

Compatibility & Use Notes
- This model (000-11048-002) is optimized for B&G chartplotters and instrument systems, and works best when connected via NMEA-2000 to other marine electronics (e.g. displays, autopilots, radar)
- Not suitable for use with MARPA or B&G Pilot systems that require a rate compass — those systems need dedicated rate compasses such as the Precision-9 or RC42
- For best performance, mount where the antenna has a clear view of the sky and is away from magnetic interference — avoid nearby wiring, metallic structures, below-deck mounting in some cases
